Baseball should stop trying to unnecessarily speed things up


The Reds have a top 10 farm system, which is good, because they have just about nothing else. The rebuild is on in Cincinnati, and the massive money that Joey Votto is owed has them tied up for a few years. After many years and some attempts, they moved Brandon Phillips but are still paying a majority of his money. Not sure what the Reds are doing here, but it seems as though they’re spinning their wheels trying to figure it out.

Amend the sacrifice fly rule to include fly balls that advance runners to second or third. I suppose the argument is that sac flies aren’t intentional the way sac bunts are, so a batter only gets credit for a sac fly when he advances a runner to home, which is at least somewhat seen as an intentional Basketball Cheap Jerseys act or at least on the batter’s mind in a more urgent way than it would be with runners Cheap Atlanta Braves Jerseys on first and/or second.
